About Us

Christian Counseling in Denver and Littleton Colorado

The Christian counselors at Front Range Counseling Center (FRCC) are clinically and academically trained and will draw upon their experience to sensitively address your unique emotional, mental, spiritual and relational needs.

Our therapists believe in, and are dedicated to, Jesus Christ, both personally and professionally. They rely on Biblical principles, are committed to prayer, and pray for their clients even when they do not pray with them.

Biblical Worldview

As Christian counselors, we understand that the Bible has a lot of practical wisdom about human nature, marriage and family, human suffering, and so much more. By using biblical concepts in counseling, they can instruct people in the way they should go and also hold them accountable.

We use skills from the field of secular psychology and counseling, but we recognize that the Bible, not psychology, is the final authority.  Though we are guided by these teachings, our counselors will never impose their views on any clients but rather meet them where they are.

“In contrast to psychologically-integrated systems, Biblical counseling seeks to carefully discover those areas in which a Christian may be disobedient to the principles and commands of Scripture and to help him learn how to lovingly submit to God’s will,” reports the International Association of Biblical Counselors.

Bible Is The Source Of All Truth

Christian counselors have an absolute standard by which to measure their objectives and evaluate their counselee’s lifestyle. They see the Bible as the source of all truth. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

The secular counselor has no absolutes with which to judge morals and the choices people make. Christian counselors understand that the Bible has a lot of practical wisdom about human nature, marriage and family, human suffering, and so much more. By using biblical concepts in counseling, they can instruct people in the way they should go and also hold them accountable. Psalm 119:24 says, “Your statutes are my delight; they are my counselors.”

Jesus Is The Way, The Truth, And The Life

Although Christian counselors often use skills from the field of secular psychology and counseling, they recognize that the Bible, not psychology, is the final authority. “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness (2 Peter 1:3).

A Christian counselor’s objective is to help his or her clients to conform to biblical truth as they move forward into healing. We believe that the truth of God, when known, believed, and obeyed, sets people free. When people are set free, they are fulfilling their true calling. “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32).

We Value

The Bible is the sure word of a faithful God and is therefore a powerful source for healing and growth.

Practicing our God-given spiritual gifts of love, discernment, encouragement, teaching, healing, knowledge, administration, helping, and wisdom.

Developing and honing our spiritual gifts with the scientific knowledge and professional skills of evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and therapeutic intervention.

Affirming and carefully following the morals of the Christian faith and the ethics of the boards that govern our profession.

Offering seminars and resources that strengthen individuals, families, and the community.

Front Range Counseling Center’s Christian therapists value each person as a unique creation of God.  We are prepared to serve individuals and families of various ethnic and religious backgrounds without discrimination.

Every human being is created in the image of God and is therefore of inestimable value.

Intimacy with God is the ultimate goal of human life and comes to our world through Jesus Christ by the grace of God.

God reveals each individual’s meaning and purpose for life within a loving community.

Sin, which destroys human responsiveness and harmony, is overcome through the working of God in Jesus Christ and through his Spirit, who renews us in faith, hope, and love.

Human suffering can become the context for discovering new dimensions to the grace of God that transforms our lives and fills them with new meaning.

Human beings possess an intrinsically moral nature. Obedience to appropriate authority, pre-eminently to God and His Word, promotes healing and growth.

The church provides a loving and accepting context for healing and growth to occur.

Statement of Faith

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God; and that they alone constitute the divine rule of Christian faith and practice.

We believe that there is only one God who is infinitely perfect – the Creator, Preserver and Governor of all things – and who is the only proper object of religious worship.

We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory.

We believe that in the person of Jesus Christ the divine and human natures are united; so that he is truly and properly God, and truly and properly man.

We believe that our first parents were created in a state of innocency but, by their disobedience, they lost their purity and happiness; and that in consequence of their fall all men have become sinners.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has, by his suffering and death, revealed to the whole world the infinite Love and Provision of the Father, so, that whosoever will be saved, may be saved.

We believe that repentance towards God, faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are necessary to salvation.

We believe that we are justified by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ; and that he that believeth hath the witness in himself.

We believe that it is the privilege of all believers to be ‘wholly sanctified’, and that their ‘whole spirit and soul and body’ may ‘be preserved blame less unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ’ (1 Thessalonians5: 23).

We believe in the immortality of the soul; in the resurrection of the body; in the general judgement at the end of the world; in the eternal happiness of the righteous; and in the endless punishment of the wicked.
